About Colorado River Regional Crisis Services

Help. Hope. Healing

Our Story

Supporting survivors since 1997

Colorado River Regional Crisis Services (CRRCS) was founded in 1997 with a mission to provide compassionate assistance and support to individuals impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, and sex trafficking.

Originally known as the Colorado River Regional Crisis Shelter, we began as a safe haven offering emergency shelter to survivors in crisis. As the needs of our community grew, so did our vision.

In 2015, we changed our name to Colorado River Regional Crisis Services to reflect our expanded commitment offering not only residential support, but also community-based and mobile advocacy throughout La Paz County.

Today, CRRCS continues to evolve to meet survivors where they are with dignity, safety, and unwavering support.

Program Philosophy

At Colorado River Regional Crisis Services (CRRCS), we are committed to delivering services that are confidential, survivor-centered, holistic, and trauma-informed.

We recognize that every survivor’s experience is unique. That’s why our approach is rooted in respect, empowerment, and healing meeting individuals where they are and supporting them as they reclaim their lives on their own terms.

Beyond direct support, CRRCS is dedicated to building a more informed and compassionate community. We work to educate the public on how to recognize signs of abuse and respond with care, understanding, and accountability.

Together, we can create a community where survivors are believed, supported, and safe.

Rooted in the heart of rural western Arizona, our program embraces the unique cultures and experiences of La Paz County and the Colorado River Indian Tribes (CRIT) reservation. Our advocates walk alongside survivors with care and respect for culture, offering confidential, personalized support that honors each person’s journey.
