Capacity Coaching Service Model
Evolving with Intention
The CRRCS Capacity Coaching Service Model isn’t just a program, it’s a powerful, survivor-led journey designed to help survivors reclaim control, define goals, and build the life that has been envisioned. Whether it is seeking stability, healing, or a fresh start, this model meets a survivor where they are and grows with them over time.
At the foundation of the model is the Survivor-Centered Self-Assessment, a guided reflection tool that helps survivors explore eight key streams of their lives like safety, housing, health, relationships, and personal growth. But this isn’t a one-time checklist. These assessments are ongoing, giving survivors regular opportunities to reflect, track progress, and realign goals as needs and priorities evolve. With each assessment, survivors update their personalized Capacity Plan, ensuring that the support received is always relevant, responsive, and driven by the survivor’s voice.
Supporting throughout this journey is a trusted Capacity Coach, a trained partner who walks beside a survivors with encouragement, accountability, and respect. The coach helps break down goals, connect to resources, overcome obstacles, and celebrate progress. Together, a survivor can adapt strategies over time, ensuring they are always moving forward at their own pace. Sessions are scheduled weekly or biweekly, depending on time and comfort.
This model is more than just support, it’s a turning point. Survivors who engage often describe it as the first time they felt seen, heard, and truly in charge of their own future. With the right tools and relationships, a survivor can shift from surviving to thriving and create the life they have always wanted.
Your journey starts now. The future you deserve is within reach.
It Begins with Safety
At CRRCS, we understand that true progress is only possible when survivors feel safe physically, emotionally, and practically. The first four components of our Capacity Coaching Service Model focus on establishing this essential safety, because without it, healing and growth cannot take root. By addressing immediate basic needs, offering dedicated spaces for emotional restoration, and supporting survivors in finding moments of calm and reflection, we lay the groundwork for stability and resilience. When survivors feel secure and supported in these fundamental ways, they are empowered to take meaningful steps toward the lives they envision. Safety is not just the starting point it is the foundation that makes moving forward possible.
Physical Safety
The core goal of this domain is to ensure that survivors are free from violence, harm, and threat every moment of every day. CRRCS prioritizes immediate and long-term safety through comprehensive, survivor-centered services. This includes crisis intervention and personalized safety planning, as well as access to secure shelter and relocation support when needed. Survivors receive legal advocacy, including assistance with protection orders and navigating the legal system, along with critical supports such as transportation for escape or urgent safety needs. Survivors are connected to their Capacity coach, ensuring they are never alone in navigating safety. Every strategy is designed to affirm the survivor’s right to feel safe, supported, and in control of their environment.
Basic Needs
Meeting immediate, essential survival needs is fundamental to a survivor’s stability and well-being. CRRCS provides information to access to vital resources such as food pantries and meal distribution programs to ensure no one goes hungry. Community thrift stores offer seasonally appropriate apparel to help survivors feel comfortable and confident at no charge. Hygiene kits and menstrual care supplies support personal dignity and health while in the program. Transportation assistance removes barriers to accessing services, job interviews, and court hearings. Technology access to a computer is also provided to keep survivors connected and empowered. Additionally, emergency supplies like blankets, diapers, and personal protective equipment are available to address urgent needs quickly and effectively. By meeting these basic needs, CRRCS lays the foundation survivors need to focus on healing and growth.
Breathing Space
Healing requires moments of pause and emotional restoration, which is why CRRCS prioritizes creating dedicated spaces and opportunities for survivors to catch their breath and reconnect with themselves. Quiet areas offer safe havens for reflection and calm. Survivors can participate in grounding and breathwork sessions designed to ease anxiety and bring focus to the present moment. Nature walks and eco-healing outings foster connection to the natural world, promoting peace and renewal. Additional offerings like journaling, meditation, and self-paced time in cultural or spiritual settings invite survivors to nurture their inner lives on their own terms. These spaces and practices cultivate balance and resilience, essential components on the path to healing.
Emotional Safety
At the heart of healing is emotional safety by creating spaces where survivors feel truly seen, heard, and respected. CRRCS is committed to fostering this safety through supportive coaching and group environments designed to be trauma-informed and culturally sensitive. Survivors benefit from communication practices that honor their experiences, along with workshops focused on setting healthy boundaries and building trust. The model emphasizes culturally grounded affirmation and validation, recognizing the importance of identity and belonging in emotional well-being. Peer support networks offer connection and solidarity, while education on co-regulation and nervous system health empowers survivors with tools to manage stress and emotional triggers. In moments of acute need, crisis debriefing provide compassionate, immediate care ensuring survivors feel supported every step of the way.
Improving Eight Life Streams
Before survivors can fully rebuild their lives, they need more than just safety, they need stability, connection, and the space to breathe, reflect, and grow. The following eight domains in the CRRCS Capacity Coaching Model are designed to support survivors in restoring their sense of self, reclaiming their future, and building a life that is both secure and fulfilling.
These domains recognize that healing is not one-dimensional. Survivors may need a home that feels like a refuge, the chance to practice self-care without guilt, or support in reconnecting with their spiritual or cultural identity. They may be ready to increase their knowledge, pursue career goals, or strengthen their financial independence. Others may be seeking meaningful relationships, or simply a moment of peace in their day-to-day lives.
With the ongoing guidance of their Capacity Coach and the use of personalized self-assessments, survivors are empowered to set goals, track progress, and take ownership of their journey. Whether it’s decorating a new home, earning a certificate, or attending a nature walk to pause and reflect—each step builds the foundation for a stronger, healthier future rooted in dignity, purpose, and possibility.

CRRCS supports these efforts, whether it’s selecting comforting colors, setting up a peaceful corner for rest, or receiving donated furniture and essentials.
With the right support, survivors can transform housing into a true home, a safe haven that nurtures safety, sense of self, dignity, and direction.
